It’s a BOY!!!

We are so excited to report it is a BOY!!! His name is going to be Tate Samuel Mikesell. He is due to arrive December 2nd but I am hoping for the 1st. Which is his Grandpa Wendell’s birthday. Watch for his blog to be coming shortly.

Henefer Basketball Tournament

On the 4th of July Chad played with Ty in a Henefer basketball tournament. I have never watched Chad play basketball so it was kind of fun to watch them play. And Ty and Katie found out they are having a baby girl that is due a couple weeks after our little Tate comes.

Football

CHAD’S FOOTBALL SEASON IS OVER. EXCEPT FOR THE ALL STAR GAME WHICH IS PLANNED FOR JULY 11TH IN REXBURG IDAHO. THEY HAVE HAD A ROUGH SEASON, WITH ALL THE MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS AND FINANCIAL PROBLEMS AND I THINK HE IS JUST GLAD TO HAVE IT OVER AND START FRESH NEXT YEAR WITH OUT ALL THE DRAMA. (HOPEFULLY) MEN HAVE JUST AS MUCH DRAMA AS WOMEN. DON’T EVER LET A MAN TELL YOU OTHER WISE HOLY COW.

We are having a BABY!!!

WE FOUND OUT WE ARE HAVING A BABY IN DECEMBER. CHAD DID NOT BELIEVE THE FIRST TEST BECAUSE I BOUGHT A CHEAP ONE. SO HE MADE ME GO BACK AND BUY THE MOST EXPENSIVE TEST, AND STILL DID NOT BELIEVE UNTIL WE WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND HE SHOWED US THE HEART BEAT.
WE ARE REALLY EXCITED AND CAN’T WAIT TO FIND OUT WHAT WE ARE HAVING. JENICA IS HOPING FOR A BOY, KEELEY WANTS A GIRL AND CHAD CLAIMS TO NOT CARE. HE IS FULL OF CRAP HE WANT S A BOY. BOTH GRANDMAS ARE EXCITED EITHER WAY.KEELEY ALREADY HAS A BIG SISTER BABY SITTING KIT MADE AND A LIST OF ITEMS WE NEED TO BUY IN ORDER TO TAKE CARE OF A BABY. SHE HAS IT ALL PLANNED OUT. SHE IS EVEN GOING THROUGH NAME BOOKS TO FIND THIS BABY A NAME. SHE CAN’T READ ALL OF THEM SO IF IT LOOKS PRETTY SHE WRITES IT DOWN.

Mexico

IN FEBRUARY WE TOOK A FAMILY VACATION TO MEXICO. WE WERE GONE FOR A WEEK AGAIN AND ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF THE SUN. IT WAS EXCITING GETTING TO WATCH HOW MUCH FUN KEELEY HAD. WE GOT TO SWIM WITH THE DOLPINS, HORSE BACK RIDE ON THE BEACH, DEEP SEA FISHING (WHICH MADE ME AND JASON SICKER THAN A DOG). WE WENT SHOPPING ON FIFTH AVENUE, PLAYED ON THE BEACH, WENT TO THE X-CARET (BASICALLY A ZOO), ATE AND ATE AND ATE.

Honeymoon

AFTER THE RECEPTION WE STAYED THE NIGHT AT THE MARIOTT IN SLC. THANKS TO JAN AND CHANCE. AND HEADED OFF TO VEGAS THE NEXT MORNING. WE WERE IN VEGAS FOR 1 WEEK AND HAD A BLAST. WE WERE ABLE TO MEET UP WITH AUNT ALICE AND AUNT BERTIE AND HAD LUNCH. WE WENT TO BLUE MAN GROUP, GOT ALL OF OUR CHRISTMAS AND THANK YOU SHOPPING DONE, WENT TO THE NIGHT AT THE ROUND TABLE DINNER AT THE EXCALIBUR, ROAD THE NEW YORK NEW YORK ROLLER COASTER, ATE AND LAUGHED OUR BUTTS OFF AT DICK’S, SAW THE DOLPHINS AND WHITE TIGERS AT THE MIRAGE, THE LIONS AT THE MGM. I PRETTY MUCH THINK WE DID IT ALL.
WE HAD A BLAST!!

Christmas Day!

SANTA CAME TO TOWN!!! Keeley got lots of littlest pets stuff. Chad and I didn’t get anything from Santa. I guess I forgot to write my list this year. Chad was just plain out NAUGHTY!! Trust me! After we opened our presents Ty and Katie came over and we exchanged gifts then played the wii for a while. Then off to Shanda’s to exchange with Spencer, Shanda, Shaunna, Mitch and the girls. After that we went to my mom and dads for dinner. We had to eat fast because Daryl was picking Keeley up to take her to dinner at Teresa’s. We ate and opened all presents in about 10-15 minutes. Then us adults played the wii for a while. We ended up sleeping at my moms due to the white out conditions going on out side.

Rentmeister Christmas Party!!

We got together at the Glen Eagle Golf Course had dinner and Chad and I were in charge of the spiritual message. So we had all the kids hold up pictures and my mom read a story. Then Santa came. The kids had a lot of fun. Then Joy was in charge of the white elephant gift exchange with the adults. I think the adults had more fun than the kids this year. Does anyone want to trade Jeff for his half eaten thin mints???

Vegas Baby!!

Sunday morning we woke up got ready and went to Mitch’s house. He let us park our car at his house and he took us to the airport.
While we were in Vegas we went to the Excalibur Tournament of the Kings dinner show, Blue Man Group, Lunch with Aunt Alice and Bertie, shopping at the outlet mall, we road the New York Roller Coaster, Gambled on Freemont Street.
We had a ton of fun. Got all of our Christmas shopping done. We checked out and flew back home on Friday.

Wedding Day!

The highlight of today was… Keeley and Brylee walking down the isle and Brylee looking at Keeley because she is throwing flowers on the floor. Brylee wasn’t sure if she was suppose to pick them up or just keep walking.
Then when Chad and I were standing in front during the ceremony, Brylee started to sword fight Keeley with her bouquet. Chad and I couldn’t stop watching them and laughing. The bishop couldn’t see them because they were behind him. So who knows what he was thinking at that point. Chad and I won’t make eye contact with him or each other and we keep laughing. IT WAS REALLY FUNNY!!!
After the VERY SHORT ceremony. We took a couple family pictures and moved tables to get ready for the open house. Once the tables were moved everyone ate and it was time to start the open house. We had a GREAT turn out and want to THANK everyone who came to support us. We appreciate you all so much.
Chad and I headed out about 7:30. It was awesome to get out at a decent hour. We went back to my house to change then headed to Salt Lake to stay the night. Chans and Jan got us a room at the Mariott. It was perfect.

This is Chad, Ronny and Zack playing flag football for Zack’s ward. They got together several times and played. It was funny to watch Chad and Ronny not get to into the games (mostly Chad) being that they are church activities.

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon and had a brilliant idea to all go on the log ride together. Right when we all got in we had the whole line laughing so hard at how fat we all were. We were not sure if we were going to make it to the top of the ride. It was pretty scary. When we hit the bottom none of could see anything. The wave we made about cleared out the park. The water went and splashed on the people in the line. So we had everyones attention when we got back. We were all drenched from head to toe and laughing even harder than when we started. WE COULD HAVE DIED!!!

Chad and I decided to go see his brother for the weekend. So we packed up and went to Pocatello. We had a ton of fun. I could not believe how big those dang dogs were. I can’t wait to take Keeley so she can play with them she will LOVE it. On the way home Chad’s car broke down. Luckily Sam was on his way to Colorado so he was able to bring us back. We had to go the next day and tow his car home. Thanks for letting us come Sam.
